DAY 1 – FULL DAY TOUR OF EPHESUS & THE HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY
Kusadasi City Package starts with Ephesus. Early arrive at Izmir airport. Meet with your guide on arrival and transfer to Ephesus. (1 hour drive from Izmir to Ephesus) First you will visit the world famous ancient Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, the most well preserved example in the world. Next, you will visit The House of Virgin Mary, where it is believed she spent her last days. This is a holy place for both Christians and Muslims. After 1 day of your Kusadasi City Trip Package, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 2 – PAMUKKALE & HIERAPOLIS TOUR
08:30 You will be picked up from your hotel for Full day tour of Pamukkale & Hierapolis, which are located in the Denizli region of Turkey. In Pamukkale, you will see the Cotton Cliffs, one of the natural wonders of the world formed by deposits of calcareous salts.
Pamukkale is famous for its travertines, a series of carbonate mineral terraces that form white cascading waterfalls and that cover more than 60 km2.
Hierapolis was once one of the most important cities in ancient Anatolia and it has some impressive ruins. The city was built by the Phrygians but had its heyday under the Romans. The highlight of Hierapolis is the great bath, which is still in a very good condition. It is one of the largest and best preserved Roman baths in Anatolia. The city was also home to a healing spring, which could cure illnesses. This spring has been called “holy” by both Greeks and Romans and its water was used for healing purposes until the 5th century AD.
Also visit the ancient ruins of the City of Hierapolis with its basilica , theatre and Roman Baths. At the end of the day, we will drive to your hotel for your overnight stay in Kusadasi.
DAY 3 – PERGAMUM TOUR
Your 3 Days Kusadasi City Package will continue with Pergamum one of the most important ancient cities in Turkey. Check out from the hotel and meet with your guide for your full day tour to Pergamum. During the Kusadasi City Package, you will also have a chance to visit Asclepion, which is one of the most well-preserved temples in Turkey.
In Pergamum, you will be delighted to visit the Asclepion and Health Centre. As you make your to Acropolis, the Red Basillica, originally a temple of Serapis, can be viewed. The most spectacular structure is certainly the theatre, a remarkable piece of engineering built into the steep hillside.
